This 1,000-mile paved route begins in Clarkston, Washington (twin city to Lewiston, Idaho) and goes east to Oak Harbor on Whidbey Island via a circuitous scenic route. Highlights include the Columbia River, Palouse Falls State Park, Multnomah Falls (in Oregon), Mount St. Helens Volcanic National Monument, North Cascades Scenic Highway, North Cascades National Park, Deception Pass, and several towns including Kennewick, Packwood, Yakima, and Leavenworth. “Traipsing Around Washington” was published as a Favorite Ride in the January 2025 issue of Rider magazine.
