RIDER MAGAZINE: Crowley's Ridge, Arkansas
This 158-mile paved route follows Crowley's Ridge, a highlands area west of the Mississippi River. It starts in the south in Helena, Arkansas, and follows a series of state routes, including AR 42, AR 44, AR 141, AR 163, AR 284, AR 306, AR 334, and AR 364, on its way to Crowley's Ridge State Park on the north end. The route stops at Village Creek State Park and passes through Birdeye, Cherry Valley, Colt, Helena, Forrest City, Jonesboro, Marianna, Twist, Vanndale, and Wynne. (ROUTE & PHOTOS BY DAVID LEE BELL)
