The Grand Loop
This ride begins in the historic town of Cripple Creek, offering a scenic journey through Colorado's rugged landscapes. You'll head out past Tarryall Lake, where the peaceful waters and surrounding mountains provide a perfect backdrop for the ride. The route then continues into Bailey, a small mountain town that serves as a nice spot to take a quick break or grab a bite before you press on.
From Bailey, you’ll head toward passing through Pine Junction (also a popular spot for food) to Deckers, following winding roads that offer stunning views of the surrounding forests and valleys. There’s a short section of dirt road that puts you just south of Sedalia that adds a bit of adventure to the mix. You have the option to stay left on tarmac and continue into town. Head south to Palmer Lake, where you can enjoy the tranquil surroundings and maybe even stop for a lakeside break.
This ride offers a great mix of mostly paved roads, all while showcasing some of Colorado’s best scenery. It’s a perfect day trip for those looking to explore the state’s mountain towns and natural beauty.
