Fall Foliage Loop
This route takes you through a mix of scenic landscapes and varied terrain, perfect for a laid-back ride with plenty of natural beauty to take in. Starting in Colorado Springs, you'll pass the Broadmoor and head up Stage Road, where the pavement gives way to basic gravel, rock, and dirt as you join Gold Camp Road. The terrain is manageable but adds just enough texture to keep things interesting.
There’s a brief out-and-back detour down a forest road that offers a quiet escape before you continue along Gold Camp Road. As you progress, you’ll eventually reach a paved section that brings you out behind an active gold mine. From here, you can either head right towards Divide or take a detour to explore Victor and Cripple Creek, both worth visiting for their history and unique mountain town atmosphere.
Once you hit US24, McGinty’s Pub offers a great spot to stop for a meal, or you can check out additional dining options in Woodland Park, Green Mountain Falls, or Cascade, all nearby.
There are two minor route glitches—one showing a straight line and another that briefly takes you through a neighborhood on some dirt roads. These are easy to navigate and don’t take away from the overall flow of the ride.
This route is especially lovely in late September when the aspens are in full display, showcasing brilliant fall colors that enhance the natural beauty of the area.
