This 180-mile paved loop starts and ends in Posen, Michigan, on the eastern side of the state near Lake Huron. The route heads east to Presque Isle, then south near the shore of Lake Huron, and then it turns inland and returns north. Highlights include the Old Presque Isle Lighthouse, New Presque Isle Lighthouse, Presque Isle Rear Range Lighthouse, Thunder Bay, Sturgeon Point Lighthouse, and the towns of Posen, Alpena, Ossineke, Harrisville, Curran, and Bolton.
