RIDER MAGAZINE: Vermont Border Run: Massachusetts to Canada via U.S. Route 5 This 183-mile paved route begins at the Massachusetts/Vermont border and follows U.S. Route 5 north along the eastern border of Vermont. It ends at the Haskell Free Library and Opera House, which straddles the U.S./Canada border at Derby Line, Vermont, and Rock Island Quebec. Highlights include Brattleboro, White River Junction, St. Johnsbury, Putney General Store, Bellows Falls Petroglyphs, American Precision Museum, Dan & Whit’s General Store, Lake Willoughby, and Haskell Free Library & Opera House.
